About Us
Read what the New York Post wrote about us.
We are the Internet's premier source for gourmet food gift baskets and bath gift baskets with a healthy slant. Our team works together to select the best contents at the best prices because we want only the best for our customers.
We choose each item for its healthiness, attractiveness--and good taste. After all, who wants to stay healthy if it means eating snacks that taste like cardboard or have a chemical aftertaste? And we also avoid the (frankly) cheap products
that you may find in some gift baskets. We also work hard to keep prices reasonable, even if it means less profit for us. (Sounds kinda of crazy, huh? But we sleep better at night.)
And if you have a special need, or need quick shipping--or if a problem occurs, we are there to provide a solution. It's all part of the mission statement we created even before we went online.
Each unique gift basket is individually designed and created so that no two are ever completely the same. We also will create baskets just for you or your company and/or employees.
How We Started
For years, I've been writing books, magazine articles and Internet articles about health--and the foods and natural products that can help keep you well. When I recently published a book on ways to live to age 100, a colleague suggested that it would make a great birthday present.
And that's how the concept of The Healthy Basket was born.
Using the latest studies and recommendations from medical experts, I've scoured the country looking for healthful items for our handmade baskets. I knew that only the highest quality natural products would meet the needs of people like you who know the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
We avoid artery-clogging hydrogenated oils in our products, along with high sugar and salt contents. We include fiber when possible, and products with antioxidants. And for those who need to avoid sugars entirely, we have tasty low-sugar or sugar-free items. We also accommodate Kosher needs.
Where do we find our products?
There are companies from across the U.S. who believe as I do that gourmet foods can taste good while they are good for you. We've found wild blueberries in Wisconsin, organic popcorn in Pennsylvania, salsa in New Mexico, dried fruits in Florida, pecans in South Carolina--and much more.
We will continue to seek out the best of these natural, healthy food and bath products producers for The Healthy Basket. Please let us know if there are any items you would like to see in the baskets or if you have any comments about the baskets.
